We’re seeking a motivated, versatile journalist to cover the stories of Las Vegas. The ideal candidate will be a confident journalist skilled in pitching ideas, writing engaging content, and conducting in-depth research and interviews.

Main responsibilities :

• Come up with high-impact story ideas that have the potential to gain national attention
• Ability to cover breaking news at high pace, as well as being able to follow-up with strong pullouts and separate lines
• Exercise editorial judgement when developing story ideas, being able to produce fair and accurate journalism
• Conducting interviews with a range of people from the c-suite to the average casino attendee

Keys skills / experience required:

• Significant experience as a journalist covering Las Vegas in a range of areas including crime, entertainment and business
• Be a self-starter who knows a good story and how to find it
• Be able to demonstrate effective planning and organisational skills, especially the ability to deliver consistently to deadlines
• A positive attitude towards changes and feedback
• Have an extensive contact book in Las Vegas and will be able to use that to leverage unique and exclusive news
• Reliability and a track record of working on your own and under pressure
