Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Café Manager to lead the daily operations of a brand-new café in West Hollywood. This role oversees barista staff, ensuring exceptional coffee service, team training, and adherence to brand standards in customer service, cleanliness, and product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the barista team, ensuring efficient operations and consistent, high-quality service.
  • Train and onboard new baristas in coffee preparation, service standards, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing real-time coaching and conducting regular reviews.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment in all work areas.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a positive experience.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborate with management to implement new initiatives and improve service delivery.
  • Uphold brand identity and foster strong customer relationships.
  • Oversee HR compliance, scheduling, and daily team management.
  • Maintain loss prevention, safety, and operational standards.
  • Responsible for opening/closing procedures, including POS and store security.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of barista experience, with strong coffee knowledge and technical skills.
  • Prior leadership experience in a café or food service setting preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation:

  • Annual salary: $72,000–$78,000 (up to $38/hour); position qualifies for overtime pay.
