About the Company
RSI is an established Design-Build firm in California’s Central Valley with a 20-year history delivering residential and commercial solar projects. As RSI continues to grow its Engineering division, we are expanding our capabilities to include civil and structural engineering services that support our solar, battery storage, and electrical infrastructure projects. We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead and execute the design of site civil, grading, drainage, and structural elements across a variety of renewable energy and commercial projects. This role will be instrumental in shaping RSI’s civil engineering processes, mentoring junior staff, and developing systems that support scalability and profitability.
About the Role
To succeed in this role, you must have strong technical expertise and leadership skills to manage engineering deliverables from concept through construction. You will collaborate with internal project managers, construction teams, and external stakeholders to produce efficient, buildable, and code-compliant designs that meet both budget and schedule requirements. The Civil Engineer is a key member of the RSI Engineering and Construction teams, reporting directly to the Director of Project Management. The position is primarily in-person with optional remote flexibility. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with additional hours as needed to support project milestones and deadlines.
Evaluation Factors
Pay range and compensation package
Compensation will be market competitive, based on qualifications and experience, estimated between $110,000 – $160,000 annually. Additional compensation may be available for California-licensed P.E.s actively stamping plans.
