Commercial Superintendent – Hospitality / Restaurant Construction

Location: Deerfield Beach, Florida

Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 (DOE) + Full Benefits

Our client, a reputable Florida-based general contractor with a strong focus on restaurant and hospitality builds, is looking for an experienced Commercial Superintendent to oversee both ground-up and renovation projects throughout the Deerfield Beach region. This role will take charge of all on-site operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to top-quality standards while maintaining budget and schedule expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct day-to-day field operations for hospitality and restaurant construction projects from start to finish.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and internal teams to keep work progressing smoothly.
• Maintain and track project schedules, identifying potential delays and resolving issues proactively.
• Uphold all safety requirements, conduct toolbox talks, and enforce company and OSHA safety practices.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to ensure accurate execution on site.
• Keep thorough documentation including daily reports, inspections, logs, and progress records.
• Work closely with Project Managers on scheduling, material planning, change orders, and quality assurance.
• Build strong relationships with clients, inspectors, and local officials to support the project lifecycle.
• Lead and mentor field personnel, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and craftsmanship.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction, preferably within restaurant or hospitality sectors.
• At least 3+ years managing field operations on fast-paced commercial projects.
• Solid understanding of construction workflows, trade coordination, and site management.
• Ability to thoroughly read and interpret drawings, schedules, and technical documents.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of safety compliance; OSHA 30 a plus.
• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam , or similar field management software.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality work while maintaining safety and client satisfaction.
