ESI is now hiring an English Teacher in the Jupiter, FL area for the 2025-2026 school year.

POSITION SUMMARY:

ESI is seeking an English Teacher for a Middle School classroom who is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering lesson plans that facilitate active learning, participating in all required school meetings, as well as communicating with parents/guardians in relation to the needs of the students. The English Teacher must be a born-again Christian with spiritual maturity in academic and leadership abilities. This position requires commitment to the school's mission and philosophy by serving as a Christian role model (I Timothy 4:12) both in and out of school (Luke 6:40), and as an example to parents and fellow employees in judgment, dignity, respect, and Christian living.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a clear testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior
  • Must be able to demonstrate active membership and involvement in an evangelical local church
  • Bachelor Degree from accredited college or university required
  • Masters Degree in Education preferred
  • Possession of a Florida Educator Certification or Statement of Status of Eligibility is preferred
  • Prior Teaching Experience Preferred
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English languagefluently.
  • Ability to walk, stand, stoop, bend, climb, crawl, push a cart, or lift during the entire shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds,including small packagesand supplies.
  • Ability to pass Level 2 background check.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach Middle School Language Arts and one section of Bible as a member of the middle school teaching team.
  • Establish and maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to learning. This includes spiritual, academic, emotional, social, and physical growth and maturity.
  • Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
  • Provide appropriate feedback on work.
  • Respectfully submits and is loyal to God-appointed authority.
  • Integrates a biblical worldview.
  • Follows and updates the school curriculum guides in implementing the instructional program.
  • Differentiates learning activities and instruction that meet the needs of the students in the class.
  • Assesses student’s performance and plans instructional strategies to help the student.
  • Integrates technology and innovative teaching practices.
  • Implements STEAM principles and project-based learning.
  • Develop positive working relationships with students, parents, and fellow staff members.
  • Works cooperatively with the teaching team.
  • Attends all meetings before or after school that are scheduled by the administration or department head.
  • Serves on school committees as requested.
  • Serves in a “Plus-One” role.
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development.
  • Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, district policies and school regulations.
  • Prepare required reports on students and activities.
  • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
  • Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
  • Prepare classroom for class activities.
  • Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.
  • Observe and evaluate student’s performance and development.
  • Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, and assignments.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
