Job Description

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Healthcare, or related field OR 5 years of relevant experience
• 2+ years of order sets build experience
• EPIC certified
• Proven experience in healthcare IT, specifically with EPIC systems.
• Some implementation experience, (but we don’t want a trainer)
• Strong understanding of clinical documentation workflows and patient flow.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

Plusses:

• Experience working in a large health system (This system has 20+ locations)

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and maintain the EPIC orders module according to organizational needs.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to understand and optimize order workflows and order sets.
• Conduct rigorous testing of the EPIC system, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring optimal functionality and user experience.
• Participate in the development of policies and procedures related to the EPIC orders system.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the EPIC orders module.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EPIC system updates and enhancements.
• Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure system interoperability and data integrity.
