Summary

The Ash Group is hiring a Financial Analyst for our client (a major electricity and natural gas utility provider). This is a hybrid role based in Denver, CO . This position blends financial analysis with project management to support integrated system planning across electric, steam, and natural gas jurisdictions.

Role Details

• Compensation: Competitive pay rate of $34.00 per hour.
• Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, and direct primary care benefits. After six months of employment, enjoy a 4% matched 401(k) plan with immediate 100% vesting.
• Duration: 12-month contract.
• Location: Hybrid in Denver, CO .

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and manage tactical implementation plans (TIPs) and track project milestones to ensure timely execution across electric, steam, and natural gas jurisdictions.
• Prepare weekly status reports and scorecards to maintain accountability and schedule adherence.
• Interface with business area finance, capital asset accounting, and revenue requirements teams to support internal initiatives.
• Support regulatory filings (e.g., CPCNs, rate cases) and related documentation management.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel , SharePoint , and Teams to coordinate across multiple departments and maintain project organization.

What We’re Looking For

• 4-year degree required in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field (Graduate degree preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, project management, or a related function.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel , SharePoint , and Microsoft Teams .
• Familiarity with project planning methodologies and tools, such as RACI charts .
• Prior experience in utilities , oil & gas, mining, or similar regulated environments is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present to leadership and manage stakeholder expectations.
