We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to join our Antigen Production Laboratory team. This role involves hands-on laboratory and manufacturing activities supporting aseptic and non-aseptic production processes in a pharmaceutical environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork while performing key operations such as antigen inoculation, harvest, and equipment handling. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing and contribute to high-impact vaccine production operations.
Responsibilities
• Operate a variety of manufacturing equipment throughout the production cycle following established procedures.
• Assist with equipment setup, operation, and general maintenance.
• Perform both manual and automated operations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to process standards.
• Execute aseptic procedures including antigen inoculation, cell culture preparation, and harvest.
• Perform non-aseptic procedures involving the handling of live animal viruses for tissue and waste harvesting.
• Maintain concurrent and accurate documentation in charts, logbooks, and related records.
• Ensure housekeeping and decontamination of all work areas per approved procedures.
• Identify and report compliance, environmental, safety, or process deviations as appropriate.
• Manage hazardous waste accumulation, labeling, and handling (with proper training).
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Participate in weekly reports, training sessions, and workshops to enhance job skills and procedural knowledge.
Education
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience , preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility .
• Ability to operate manufacturing equipment with appropriate training.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
• Basic reading, mathematics, and computer proficiency.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills in a manufacturing environment.
• Successful completion of a Physical Abilities Test (POET) required.
