Project Manager - Data Centers / Mission Critical

A rapidly expanding organization specializing in cutting-edge data center and mission-critical facilities seeks a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead their dynamic team in Columbus, OH. This is a significant opportunity to take ownership of complex and technically demanding projects within a vital and evolving industry.

In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of mission-critical infrastructure projects, from initiation through to successful delivery and handover. The organization values proactive leadership, meticulous planning, and a collaborative approach, and you will work closely with internal technical teams, external specialist partners, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and resilience.

As a crucial leader within the team, you will directly contribute to the ongoing advancement and innovation within the data center and mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for data center and mission-critical facility developments.
• Define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, specifically tailored to the complexities of data center construction.
• Manage and coordinate internal technical teams (e.g., engineering, construction) and external specialist consultants and contractors.
• Oversee all aspects of project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards, with a strong focus on the unique requirements of mission-critical environments.
• Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues, developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Ensure effective communication and reporting to all stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and external partners.
• Manage and track project finances, including budgets, forecasts, and change orders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices for data center and mission-critical facilities.
• Oversee the commissioning and handover process, ensuring a smooth transition to operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in project management, with a demonstrable track record of successfully delivering major projects specifically within the data center or other mission-critical sectors .
• Proven experience in leading and motivating multi-disciplinary project teams involved in complex technical builds.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including clients.
• Strong understanding of the technical aspects of data center infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, and networking systems.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A proactive and results-oriented approach with a strong focus on delivering high-quality outcomes in a demanding environment.
• Familiarity with relevant project management methodologies and tools.
• Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2) is beneficial.

Job Benefits:

• Strong benefits package including 401K.
• Salary $200k to $240k
