Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Services Specialist to join our client's team in Louisville, KY. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to patients while navigating healthcare systems, insurance processes, and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in healthcare or insurance environments and be comfortable communicating in both English and Spanish. Our client will offer training for the first weeks on a 8:30AM- 5PM schedule and then beyond that, there is options for an 8AM, 9AM, 10AM or 11:30AM start time for an 8 hour shift moving forward.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing support via phone interactions
  • Assist patients with scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and understanding billing procedures.
  • Navigate electronic health records (EHR) and insurance portals to update patient information and resolve issues.
  • Educate patients on available services, financial assistance programs, and care coordination.
  • Provide bilingual support in Spanish to ensure equitable access to services.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare or insurance-related customer service role.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with EHR systems.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
