Job Title: Phlebotomist II – Schaumburg, IL (Full-Time, Onsite)

Location: Schaumburg, IL 60173

Contract- 3+months

Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:30 AM–6:00 PM

Pay Rate: $23- $25/HR

Join one of the leading names in diagnostics! We're looking for a skilled Phlebotomist II to provide high-quality patient care and accurate specimen collection at our Schaumburg Patient Service Center in Schaumburg, IL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality blood draws on patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics.
  • Collect forensic and clinical specimens, adhering to established practices and procedures.
  • Verify patient demographic information and ensure accurate labeling of blood samples.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence and patient confidentiality.
  • Create a trusting and professional environment for patients, explaining procedures and handling specimens skillfully and safely.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Job Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record, if applicable.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, peers, and supervisors.
  • Must be able to make decisions based on established procedures and demonstrate sound judgment.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required..

Other Qualifications:

  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment highly preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience is a plus.
  • Ability to travel and work at multiple locations with minimal notice.
