Pay: $28-$32 per hour based on experience

Hiring Bonus/Relocation pay may be available.

Job Summary:

The Project Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating construction projects on-site to ensure timely, safe, and quality completion. This role involves supervising construction labor and subcontractors, performing physical work, reading blueprints and submittals, utilizing computers for project management, and operating company vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial construction and a strong leadership background.

Key Responsibilities:

· Ability to multitask

· Understanding of the various building types and construction methods (steel frame, masonry, pre-cast building, pre-engineered metal building, wood framed building, etc.)

· Understands and implements safety procedures and practices.

· Organizes and maintains onsite files, plans, specifications, and construction activity logs.

· Analysis of critical path work.

· Knowledge of the permitting process, building codes, regulations and inspections.

· Requisition supplies and materials to complete construction project.

· Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites.

· Supervise and coordinate daily activities of laborers and subcontractors on-site.

· Perform physical tasks necessary to support project progress.

· Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and project specifications accurately.

· Review submittals and ensure compliance with project requirements.

· Utilize computer software for project documentation, tracking, and communication.

· Drive and operate company trucks to transport materials, equipment, and personnel.

· Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.

· Monitor project schedule, quality, and budget, and report progress to project managers.

· Resolve on-site issues promptly to prevent delays.

· Maintain good communication with clients, architects, and team members.

· Manage the punch list completion

· Work and report to company support staff including Construction Manager, Project Manager/Coordinator and Estimators.

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma, or GED, required.

· 5+ years of experience in residential/commercial construction

· 2+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or Foreman in commercial construction.

· Knowledge of the following work, concrete, wood framing, structural steel, carpentry is preferred.

· Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in heavy construction work.

· Knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions.

· Ability to provide solutions when problems arise

· Strong knowledge of construction processes, blueprints, and submittals.

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

· Proficiency with computer software related to construction management.

· Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company trucks.

· Physical ability to perform demanding tasks on-site.

· Reliable transportation and fundamental set of construction tools preferred.

· Basic knowledge of each trade.

· OSHA certification or equivalent safety training preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to perform physical tasks, including climbing, bending, crawling, twisting and standing for extended periods.

· Unaided lifting up to 50 lbs.
