Job Description

About the Role : We are in need of a contract Adult Psychiatrist to work 20 hours per week at one of our clinics in Oakland, California located at:

Gail Steele Wellness and Recovery Center

7200 Bancroft Ave.

Oakland, CA 94605

Responsibilities :

• Need starts ASAP and ongoing for 0.5 FTE
• 100% adult patients with Developmental/Intellectual Disabilities and Serious Mental Illness
• All work takes place within the clinic (outpatient). Preference is onsite or hybrid (2 days in onsite and 1 day remote).
• Average 6-8 patients per day.
• Combination of initial visits for assessment and ongoing renewals.
• Works closely with Schreiber Center clinician who coordinates and participates in intake assessments and provides therapy services
• 20 hours a week. Hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm (Preferred dates are Tuesdays, 8 hours, Wednesdays, 8 hours and Thursdays, 4 hours)
• Client has an electronic medical record system, so candidates must be computer literate.
• Takes approximately 2-4 weeks for credentialing.
• Client prefers six month minimum assignments, but the longer the assignment the better.
• Client prefers doctors who have experience with patients who have Developmental/Intellectual Disabilities

Qualifications:

• Licensed Psychiatrist in the state of California
• 1 year of experience in clinical setting preferred

Pay range and compensation package :

$250/Hour with Malpractice Insurance Included
