Team Lead, Network Operations Center (NOC) & IT Systems Engineer

Seeking a Team Lead, Network Operations Center (NOC) & IT Systems Engineer to oversee our internal network operations. Reporting to the Director of IT Operations, you’ll design, implement, and maintain network operating systems and services in a hybrid cloud environment, ensuring seamless performance for both our enterprise users and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute various in-house IT projects with support from our NOC, SOC, Database, and Helpdesk teams.
  • Serve as a Level 3 engineer for overseeing client-facing service desk operations.
  • Manage and mentor a team of systems engineers across U.S. and offshore locations, providing 24/7/365 support for Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Innovate and standardize desktop and application delivery solutions to empower our enterprise users. This is your chance to work with advanced technologies, collaborate with senior IT experts, and grow your career in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Lead a team of systems engineers across U.S. and offshore locations, ensuring 24/7/365 coverage for client network infrastructure. Act as the hands-on leader for client-facing service desk operations, collaborating with customers, the Project Management Office (PMO), and offshore team leads to track SLAs, communications, processes, and reporting. Inspire a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the virtual server environment, disaster recovery solutions, and Microsoft Azure/AD/365 ecosystems. Perform daily monitoring and administration of networks, servers, and desktops, including Active Directory (DNS/DHCP/Group Policy) and user account management (adds, changes, deletes). Maintain corporate switches, firewalls, VPNs, routers, and wireless networking components. Administer Windows-based servers (2008–2019) for daily maintenance and ensure data security across network devices, addressing threats.
  • Execute system builds (desktops, laptops, servers), application installations, patch management, and cloud migrations. Provide technical assessments, process documentation, and user training on desktop/network software and mobile devices. Manage system backups, perform data restores, and assist with software inventory and licensing compliance. Strategize and implement end-user computing solutions to enhance productivity.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred). Candidates with equivalent professional experience and certifications will be considered.
  • 7+ years of support services experience managing corporate networks, including firewalls, switches, and routers (S2S tunnels, configurations, security, monitoring), with expertise in at least one of: Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Aruba, Sonic Wall, Fortigate.
  • 5+ years of support services experience in Microsoft Azure/365/Windows, including Active Directory services, in a lead administrative operations role.
  • Exposure to Single-Sign On (SSO) and Identity Management concepts (Okta preferred). Knowledge of Windows Desktop applications, Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2008–2019, and Microsoft Office/365/InTune.
  • Familiarity with wireless networking components and technologies like Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Sonicwall, or Aruba. Experience with security tools such as EDR, SIEM, and Vulnerability Management.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, Shell, or similar).
  • Leadership & Competencies: Prior supervisory experience (preferred) with a proven track record in a leadership role. Outstanding customer service, written, and oral communication skills. Strong consultative and analytical abilities, with experience working effectively with clients, technical staff, consultants, and vendors. Self-motivated, goal-driven, and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Passion for technology, continuous learning, and tackling diverse IT projects. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
