Title: Supplier quality Engineer (Part-Time) - Hybrid

This is a part time position. You will need to go into the Northbrook office 3 days a week.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
The Supplier Quality Engineer(SQE) ensures that suppliers of capital equipment meet the organization’s quality, technical, and regulatory standards. This role supports manufacturing audits by assessing supplier processes, documentation, and compliance with specifications, with a focus on mitigating sourcing and production risks.
Capital equipment to support : Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer ( RTO)
Task : Support 2-3 audits with responsibilities as below
Responsibilities:
· Audit Preparation & Execution
· Develop and execute audit plans for capital equipment suppliers.
· Conduct on-site and remote audits focusing on process controls, quality systems, and compliance.
· Document findings and manage corrective actions and follow-ups.
· Supplier Quality Oversight
· Monitor supplier performance and quality metrics.
· Review and approve supplier documentation including control plans, validation protocols, and inspection records.
· Support supplier qualification and requalification processes.
· Technical Compliance
· Ensure supplier adherence to detailed technical specifications and engineering drawings.
· Verify that manufacturing operations conform to relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, CE).
· Oversee testing and validation of sub-components as needed to ensure functional and performance compliance.
· Confirm supplier compliance with applicable safety standards and regulatory requirements.
· Collaborate with engineering and regulatory teams to resolve technical non-conformances and ensure product integrity.
· Risk Management
· Identify and assess risks related to supplier quality and technical capability.
· Support mitigation strategies in collaboration with sourcing and engineering teams.
· Continuous Improvement
· Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
· Recommend process and product improvements based on audit insights.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, or related field.
· 3+ years of experience in supplier quality or manufacturing audit roles, preferably in capital equipment or industrial manufacturing.
· Strong understanding of technical specifications, manufacturing processes, and quality systems.
· Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards relevant to capital equipment.
· Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
· Certification in auditing or quality systems (e.g., ISO Lead Auditor) is preferred.
