We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Principal Traffic Engineer with experience in traffic planning, impact studies, and preparation of highway occupancy plans to lead our traffic division. The successful candidate will organize and manage the operations of our Traffic Engineering Division, including hiring and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct traffic studies, impact assessments and highway occupancy permits.
  • Develop and implement traffic management plans, including signal design, road markings, signage, and traffic calming measures.
  • Utilize software tools such as Synchro, VISSIM, and AutoCAD Civil 3D for traffic modeling, simulation, and design.
  • Prepare engineering reports, specifications, and cost estimates for traffic projects.
  • Collect and analyze traffic data, including vehicle counts, speed studies, and accident reports.
  • Use data analysis to identify traffic patterns, congestion points, and safety concerns.
  • Develop and recommend solutions to improve traffic flow and safety based on data analysis.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals and permits.

Qualifications:

  • B.S in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer License preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in traffic engineering and design.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a senior-level role.
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering traffic infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in traffic engineering software such as Synchro, VISSIM, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
