About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced real estate attorney with over 8 years of experience, specifically in real estate development within South Carolina. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is looking for a challenging yet rewarding opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Real Estate Development Experience: Must have extensive experience in real estate development, particularly in South Carolina. This includes working on projects such as hotels, condos, resorts, golf courses, timeshares, mixed-use developments, and residential properties.
• Document Drafting: Proficient in drafting real estate development documents, covenants, condominium documents, and easements.
• Hybrid Work Environment: Strong preference for candidates located in Charleston, SC. If based in Charleston, occasional office visits are preferred. If not, candidates must be willing to travel to Charleston as needed.
• Flexible Hours: Work hours will vary weekly, estimated between 20-40 hours per week.
• Long-Term Potential: While the initial term is 6 months, a strong likelihood of extension based on performance and project needs exists.

Qualifications:

• SC Licensed: Must be licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in real estate law, with a focus on development projects.
• Location: Preferably based in Charleston, SC, or within a reasonable distance to travel occasionally.
• Attention to Detail: Strong drafting skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Commitment: No concurrent work allowed to ensure full dedication to this role.
