Job Description

Our client, a well-established construction firm based in Queens, NY, is seeking a Construction Estimator to join their team. This role will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project plans, and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing. The ideal candidate has experience in ground-up commercial or multifamily construction estimating and a strong understanding of materials, labor costs, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to develop detailed cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare and submit accurate, well-documented estimates within deadlines.
• Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to align on scope and budget.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and potential risks in project pricing.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of pricing, labor rates, and materials.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in construction estimating (general contracting, development, or subcontracting).
• Strong knowledge of commercial and/or multifamily ground-up construction methods and materials.
• Proficiency in estimating software.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
