Senior Application Analyst

Westbrook, Maine

Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Hybrid, 2 days per week in-office

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Application Analyst to join our dynamic technology team on-site in the Westbrook, Maine area . This individual will play a critical role in supporting, optimizing, and enhancing enterprise applications that power our daily operations. As a strategic partner to both technical teams and business stakeholders, you will lead application implementations, upgrades, integrations, and ongoing maintenance—ensuring our systems remain reliable, efficient, and aligned with organizational goals.

Senior Application Analyst’s Responsibilities

• Work on both application code and infrastructure, primarily in AWS, supporting microservices and backend services.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and system configurations.
• Conduct regular system audits and proactively identify opportunities for performance improvements or automation.
• Manage software upgrades, patches, and integrations to ensure systems are secure, up to date, and aligned with business goals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues, collaborating with internal teams and vendors as needed.
• Develop detailed documentation, including workflows, technical specifications, training materials, and user guides.
• Provide mentoring and support to junior analysts and end-users through training sessions and guidance.
• Participate in project management activities, including planning, resource coordination, and status reporting.
• Maintain strong knowledge of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in enterprise application management.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in application analysis, business systems support, or enterprise software implementation.
• Java development (8 or higher)
• AWS cloud services: S3, Lambda, SQS, RDS
• SQL/MySQL/Oracle: write queries across databases
• Datadog: Monitor and analyze logs, build dashboards and set up alerts
• GitHub : version control
• Agile/Scrum: Participate in Agile Scrum processes
• Collaborate on infrastructure tasks, with Terraform experience as a plus

Preferred Skills

• Amazon Q or Copilot experience
• Terraform
• PowerShell scripting
• WiX installer technology
• Agile Scrum experience
• Experience with microservice development
• Experience with Oracle, SQL or NoSQL data queries
