Vice President of Sales

Overview and Responsibilities

Position

The Vice President of Sales is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the overall sales strategy, managing the sales team, and ensuring the company meets its revenue targets. This position is critical to the growth and success of the organization and requires a dynamic, results-oriented leader who can inspire and motivate a high-performing sales team.

Responsibilities

Sales Strategy

  • Refine and implement the overall sales strategy to achieve company revenue goals.
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new opportunities and areas for growth.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, to ensure alignment and maximize sales efforts.

Team Leadership

  • Manage, mentor, and coach the sales team to reach their full potential.
  • Set clear performance expectations and goals for team members.
  • Recruit and onboard new sales talent to enhance team capabilities.

Revenue Generation

  • Monitor sales metrics and KPIs to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Develop and oversee sales incentive programs to drive performance.
  • Manage key client relationships and negotiate high-value contracts.
  • Perform in a hybrid/individual contributor role demonstrating a consistent ability to produce revenue and set examples
  • Build relationships with potential partners and stakeholders to facilitate market entry.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in staffing sales, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
  • Experience in developing a sales team and implementing sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
  • Strong background in managing and mentoring high-performing sales teams.
