Job Description

Role: Land Coordinator (Temporary)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist land department in management of active drilling program
  • Conduct title reviews and analysis of DSUs
  • Support landmen with WOGCC spacing/pooling applications, exhibits, and notice lists
  • Draft election letters and track partner elections
  • Drafting of Communitization Agreements and managing approval process with BLM
  • Review of title opinions and necessary curative requirements
  • Assisting in title research and organization for active buy areas
  • Drafting of agreements, assignments, and exhibits
  • Limited negotiations in working interest acquisitions and new oil and gas leases
  • Processing of closing documents, issuing payments, and transmittal to Land Admin

Other responsibilities for land department:

  • Maintenance and creation of notice lists and address lists
  • Review of county records on a regular basis and inform team on competitor activity
  • Regular review and update of notices received, monthly WOGCC docket
  • Special projects include title reconciliations and non-operated properties
  • Mailing, invoice coding, and handling all administrative requests
  • Cross-function communication with technical and management teams

Experience and Education:

  • Land professional with 3-5 years of in-house or broker O&G experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree: Energy Management or AAPL accredited landman program preferred
  • Preference to exposure to working Rockies assets and Federal Lands (MT, ND, WY, CO or UT)
  • Must have experience in title, leasing and acquisitions, and subsurface rigline activity
  • RL or RPL designation preferred

Skills:

  • Proven success with asset development and multiple wells drilled yearly
  • Requires excellent title review and title curative skills
  • Requires excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Compensation: $35/hr to $45/hr (W2)

Duration: 6 months with option to extend

Location: Denver, CO
